看完才知道是真实事件改编，南非第一位黑人总统曼德拉上位前搞得黑人运动，被捕，手下的小弟们还在积极搞着“恐怖袭击”以求黑人被公平对待。在一次秘密行动被同伙泄露，失败逃亡的路上，阴差阳错的躲到了银行并劫持了人质。有一些小伏笔，司法部长女儿和黑人血统却装白人的女士，都深刻解释了他们为什么这么做，很深刻。
