The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 导演和女主好评，至少情节露底之前导演还是很稳的。但结构和情节处理还是网大水平。

孤独的老母亲在暴风雪的当天登山救了一个神经病，然后回家泡了个澡。观众能坚持到泡澡已经不容易了，在即将放弃观看的时候揭开悬念升华主题，只能说编剧对于真实事件的还原超越了影片本身的观赏性设计。画面很美丽，摄影很讲究，事件很真实，剧本很吊诡。
好心的阿拉伯大叔才是赢家，既找到了对象，还洗白了难民身份，哈哈。
