The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 作为喜剧片不合格，作为冒险片也不合格，作为青春片同样不合格，直到最后前作的主角之一显灵，我也知道这是逝者的女儿追思的某种寄托，不禁感慨用一部不合格电影来寄托思念是多么的情怀，不推荐任何没看过八十年代前作的观众
一个IP吃了父子两代人，相比于2016年全女班的激进，这次请回了老队员，成为了正牌续集。从大都会的语带机锋，变成了乡村小镇的少年冒险，相比于30年前的老本，吃的更多是怪奇物语的红利。但即便片尾塞了两个彩蛋，还是难掩想象力的匮乏，不免让人遗憾。

同志版《傲慢与偏见》。为了避免观众产生对性少数群体的刻板印象，选用了多样化的角色，破格选用华裔为主角，却又不知不觉陷入到另一种刻板印象里。看似是展现性少数人士性爱自由的主题，底子里却是最呆板保守的思维，体现在固化的阶级意识与改头换面的异性恋情节设计。原来经典名著也有时代局限性的一面。

老版捉鬼队的客串，真让人怀念！讲真这部电影还挺不错，就是这个boss有点串戏，这不是鬼片吗，怎么是变异一样的人哈哈哈哈。菲比真的太好看了，我万万没想到他居然是女孩子！剧情非常幽默很有意思，也没有令人烦的拖后腿，每个人都有自己的能力，少数不存在拖油瓶的电影！祖父真的太伟大了，最后一幕泪目…
没看过前作，只看续集有很多设定不清楚。但因为有麦肯齐妹妹全片都好看了很多，一开始看这个造型还没认出来是麦肯齐，只觉得小姑娘好可爱(//∇//)。
天啊。我就没看过含GAY量这么高的电影。SUPER SUPER GAY。里面的帅哥让我头皮发麻。还没看完就可以打分了。高潮了。。。。
怀旧向电影，结尾拍成《哈利·波特与火焰杯》闪回咒了~
雖然很俗但是我還挺喜歡的誒，Howie想愛卻不敢愛，好不容易踏出那一步又受傷真的蠻戳我的。Dex真的好帥，omg誰能拒絕和他春宵一刻呢。Will的人設好可愛啊，喜歡Noah然後小心翼翼的試探，還有寫信我真的覺得好浪漫，兩個人在夕陽下跳舞的畫面巨美。
conrad还是比这些“野鸡”演得好太多……
就自己五年DC Gay的经历来看，三星给接地气，很多小故事虽然拼凑起来有点粗糙但都是生活中会真实发生的事情，啊。。。
开场还不错越到后面越垮，最近这两年消费老片情怀的电影怎么越来越多，看之前怪奇物语，看之后鸡皮疙瘩
通讯录版傲慢与偏见，很多情节很老套了，追船啊误解啊，强行设置阶级鸿沟，虽说不恋爱的现象确实存在，但是刻意反一夫一妻制而转向炮友关系实在难以苟同。
九分，节奏、氛围都很好，情节虽有小BUG 但流畅又趣味十足，并且情怀满满，小演员也灵气十足，《怪奇物语》拍成电影也不见比这更好。
没有情怀加分。。。所以算个合格的爆米花电影，话说这个反派boss也太弱智了。。。
中规中矩的情怀之作，格瑞丝很萌很可爱，片尾曲很鸡皮疙瘩~
这官中字幕也太烂了，，，宁愿没有都更好理解一点，，ps杨伯文总是配角配得太出彩，把主角的光芒夺得一点不剩
