The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 青春的躁动混杂着感染的焦虑，令三个月的夏日无比漫长，经历了恐惧的洗礼，才懂得友情、爱情与亲情的珍贵，真正的恐惧不是疾病或者痛苦本身，而是痛苦时孤生一人，正因为有彼此陪伴才能让人敢于直面恐惧。本片或许可以叫《陪戳爷度过漫长夏日》，Troye Sivan真的太适合这个婊婊的毒舌甜心。
认可戳爷的表演，但不认同这剧情。也许这是某位电影人在讲述他自己的故事，但是很难让人找到共鸣。主线的爱情故事不过是两个人相互支持度过等待结果的难熬过程，那位印度大哥拿到结果都不通知戳爷，显然没把他放在心上；第二条线的拉拉爱情故事也有点抓马；奶奶对戳爷的感情波动太大，或是奶奶的表演太夸张；妈妈的神经兮兮有点可怕；戳爷对自己死党透漏着一种重色轻友的冷漠，好在最后才扭转过来。当然，音乐还不错。
还有上一次见面说自己根本没听说过大卫鲍伊，下次见面就给点Space Oddity

三星。非常轻松的方式讲述了一个确认艾滋阴性的过程。其中还有一段小小的爱情，青春就该这样。而跨文化的元素又为该片增加了一层趣味。
