The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 整体挺chill out，通俗版Terrence Malick能成新一代的鸡汤配方倒是没想到。

我主要是真的不太喜欢科恩嫂… 真的很苦相啊，看了难受。如果换个主演，大概甚至还会列入我比较心水的电影list……
以纪录片的呈现为外套，其核心仍是主流片女主的情感线——流浪疗愈，渴望家庭，专情配偶。跟同名非虚构小说不是一回事情，但看得出华人导演很希望融入美国社会。
一个女人，晚年之际脱离熟悉的生活轨道，住在车里，四处流浪。尤其对于女人，世俗更觉凄楚。然而她本人并不这么想。镜头跟随着她，经过空旷荒野，走到巨浪悬崖，沿途日出又日落，冬去春来，与偶遇的人相聚离开，她始终不肯停下。

电影是很主观的，如果说很喜欢的人是因为看到了自由和追求，那我只能看到孤独和悲伤…
人要是失去根基就注定四处漂泊，狂欢也不过是一群人的孤单，在路上自言自语才是常态。电影本身并没有刻意讲好一个故事，大概主要是带观众融入一种心情。 从《奥丽芙·基特里奇》到《三块广告牌》再到这部，女主一直在演苦瓜脸大婶。
美国的无产阶级老人，开着房车四处打工、生活、游荡，也是不幸福啊。
没看出有什么特别的深意，只是一个寻常人的寻常故事吧

除去剪辑配乐和细节处理上缺乏想象力等问题外 还有大部分女导演都会有的一个通病：sentimentally melodramatic
