The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 西部题材的小品，短小精悍，尤其是最后揭示出比利小子的身份，于是顺理成章变成了英雄看破江湖后隐退的主题。文化迥异，就像美国人不一定理解黄飞鸿，我对比利小子也不会激动到颤抖。罪恶之源还是贪念，明明选定了余生道路，看到一包现金，还是伸出了手。所以，这不是英雄隐退，还是逃犯亡命。只不过西部就是弱肉强食，美国人只看武功好不好，不以道德水准论英雄。传统崩塌英雄难觅的今天，把经典ip拍出这种衍生水准，也难得。
完成度很高 每个人都有强烈的人物风格 老枪手要不顾一切救那个年轻人 是对自己小时候被救的一种报恩? 这个设定与他整体出世的态度存在矛盾
只是tmd活在这个奶头乐的当下，
其他都不错，就是小孩太干净了！根本不像一个没了妈的农场孩子……更像流量小生乱入。枪战场面安排略微随意了一些……
好像短片一样，老套的剧情正着说就是朴实，前半小时就在想他儿子什么时候死，看到最后我确信就他儿子这两下子和脾气活不过一个月
全片简洁不拖沓，最后的枪战有种回到老西部片的感觉。不过西部片真的没落了，也只能挖些老素材拍了。
Billy the Kid不是哪个被枪击的倒霉孩子，而是美国拓荒史上的一个传奇人物。亦侠亦匪，且枪法极快。
不可饶恕的剧本，只是老亨利感觉没有老牛仔气质，演技略显浮夸，没荒野三部曲那味。
编剧很取巧，运用了比利小子英雄迟暮解甲归田谢幕之战这样的噱头看点，摄影技巧说得过去，前半段剧情进展过于缓慢，不过胜在结尾高潮部分枪战写实精彩

剧情有点相似 到走出了另一种方式 或许是亲情的温服让人为之改变 也为之有所牵挂
镜头的设计很见功夫，可惜人物不够丰满，戏尾收得太快了。

一个半小时可以拍的比较紧凑合理已经不错了 没有浪费时间的一部片子

和《小人物》相比 套路一样 但老亨利火力差得比较多 观感体验也差了点
