The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 人有多种活法，选择自己喜欢的方式就好。别人能不能理解你的孤独，不重要。
一个中国导演能拍出这样的片子很不错。有时让我想起瓦尔达。不过把丧亲之痛与寻求自由的人生态度混在一起谈，有些重心不明确。
其实本质上，关注和表达视角挺中国人的。想起了当初进藏路上的一些驴友们，还有朋友圈的“职业旅行者”。在路上，对有些人是体验人生的一种方式和一个阶段，对有些人则是内心疗愈的不能停止的精神药剂。

大概可能有无字幕的原因，影片整体给我的感受与豆瓣剧情简介完全不同，我看到的更多的是一种自主选择，而不是被迫。明明可以放弃她的破车，但女主宁可求人也要守护她移动的家；明明好多人邀请她留下来，她毅然上路。在山林中奔跑，收集一个个好看的石头…生活孤独却热爱

赵婷身兼数职的确保证了个人表达的一致性，但也因此而失去了更好的可能，至少在剪辑方面是有一些可以改善的地方的。
我可太喜欢女主了，她好适合这个角色！好想看她演马男波杰克里的戴安！

Authentic and hardcore. 女主与天地往来，与同类往来，但也不得不依靠快餐店甚至亚马逊的seasonal job获得最主要的收入，也不得不在最困难的时间求助于中产阶级。我觉得本片本身的cinematography再说，其最大价值在于“仅仅把镜头对准某样东西，你就在做某种表态了。这是不可避免的，因为你为它增加了一个视角。”这是个用fiction作为体裁的纪录片。
