The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 6/10。老爷子这次太温和了吧，甚至有点意淫，哪是悲伤的男人，是在天堂的老男人。插科打诨的公路之旅，《绿皮书》里的朋友转变成了父子，最后好莱坞式成长还抱得美娇娘。鸡的演技好于男孩。这片换个男主是不成立的，所有解读都基于东木自身的“夕阳无限好”。
所以为什么不拍成剧集呢？感觉那样还可以拍更多
童话般的美好与平淡，牛仔终将逝去，但西部精神永不消逝。东木即使是拍自己在大银幕上种种花养养草，我们做影迷的也很知足了。
3星，东木大爷的小成本片， 老爷子演了一辈子戏。经典无数，烂片也一堆，早已放下了名利释然一切，片子简单欢愉，体现了 老爷子的自得其乐。有这份老年人的童真乐趣，想不长寿也难啊。

在哀叹东木老爷子老去的同时，更惊叹他一生对于电影的这腔热忱。说实话，这部影片只有两星水准，但面对已经过了耄耋之年的老爷子，内心真想给他打出五星。不管怎样，仍然不希望本片是东木的息影之作。

小男孩的演员演技极烂，那只公鸡也始终融不进剧本，《完美的世界》的一次失败复刻。东木都已经91岁了，还在幻想着美人环侧情场得意，这才是真正的万年直男
