The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 眼睛看着屏幕上的画面 脑海中浮现的却是新闻里乌克兰那个清晰标注着满是女人孩子的教堂被轰炸的画面 两个画面重叠着 此刻却突然听见那个小男孩开口说话了 一切的感知交织在鼻喉处 瞬间集聚了泪水 是的 上帝打盹了 片中的修女孩子们和乌克兰的百姓才会没有被眷顾吧。不过如果以这几个人物为主线拍成该历史背景下的短片应该会更好 冲击力会更强

看到一半意识到我好像知道黑色电话这个故事，但怎么也想不起来在哪看的。整个故事看着就像鸡皮疙瘩那个系列的儿童小说，甚至还没有鸡皮疙瘩那么有悬念和惊悚效果。不开倍速实在看不下去，惊悚和恐怖效果都太弱了，故事太直白，坏人毫无角色刻画（伊桑霍克跟这个导演是绑定了吗这种角色也接），唯一的优点是结尾还可以

整部片子还是太平了 没什么抓人的点 尤其是在你看过I.T.、stranger things S1和Dark全三季之后 这就成了个最平实无趣的小镇儿童失踪案 你们一定都要有一件黄色雨衣吗？？？
真就冷饭炒不停呗。
唉就还行吧其实……但深刻怀疑那座金棕榈可能是是枝裕和创作生命力的终点了

90分的预期看完后最多80分。是枝裕和还是是枝裕和，裴斗娜的演技好绝，IU的演技也在我预期之上。前1个多小时过于平淡了，我旁边的老奶奶看睡着了(我能注意到旁边人在睡觉也是能说明电影是平淡的)后面有几个镜头特别喜欢，有几个地方的台词确实有让我很想哭，就比如那 好几句「生まれてきてくれて、ありがとう」
不是我非要踩一捧一，对比下怪奇那几个01-04年就出生了毫无长进的小演员（我更愿意叫他们童星），07年生的梅森泰晤士演技、表情、肢体语言动作真是甩他们一大截。一个是剧（本）捧人，一个是人捧剧。另外伊森霍克你干嘛接这本子？ 1080P 22/07/18
战争不会有赢家，但最惨烈最痛苦最受伤的永远都是平民老百姓！所以真心愿世界和平！
后面有点大同小异，不过我们还是要世界和平，电影3星题材+1星
与其说这部电影是恐怖片，其实我觉得其实偏悬疑吧，恐怖的氛围是有的，但是导演并没有采用视觉上的惊吓，而是先用前面的剧情让观众对两个小主角产生好感，再趁热打铁，让刚被关进地下室的小男主与恶棍斗智斗勇，这么一个可怜的小帅哥被恶棍关到地下室，你会不他的命运揪心吗？导演正是利用这一点，来对观众造成心理上的冲击。不得不说，斯科特导演确实把观众们的心理玩明白了呀，一亿美元的成绩理所应当。不过缺点我也不得不批评。构图差，配乐差，不能给观众带来视觉效果；小女孩的特殊能力影片没给出解答；剧情实在是太快了，有时让人摸不着头脑，虽然剧本非常一般，但小男孩和霍克的表演深深地强化了影片表达效果，小女孩的演技有待加强哦。这种以小孩子为视角的80’恐怖片永远是我的最爱
已经厌倦如此千篇一律的人物关系设置了……人设刻意、很多台词也有种说不出的做作，剧情走向猜出了个大概。看的过程中最大的感想只有两个字：够了……

平铺直叙闯关片的新拍法，看到中间会越来越失望，但是最后半小时非常棒。
兄妹二人小演员都演得很灵，长得也好看，甚至感觉是比《怪奇物语》的老几位强了【此处拉踩】，故事内容其实看简介也很吸引人，可惜表现出来并没有太出色，
小演员们地表演都很精彩，最后一段Eva妈妈狂奔的长镜头太释放了！
原本我以为掠童犯又是像杰森那样皮糙肉厚，无论怎么样都死不了的美式恐怖片。结果剧情让我很意外，所有受害的小孩子的鬼魂都在帮芬尼，甚至芬尼的妹妹都能梦中通灵，最后用电话听筒砸死掠童者大快人心啊。
