The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 影片从老人和孩子两个社会的弱势群体的视角，通过孩子给老人准备惊喜表演节目，倡导社会关爱孤独寂寞的老龄人口。中间还穿插着保护环境，废物利用的立意，适合小朋友观看。影片结尾时串烧了小邋遢，黑猫警长等动画片的主题曲，唤醒了我们这一代童年的记忆。那个每天放学后回家守着电视看动画片的日子一去不复返了啊！
