The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 很久没看过这样好的华语电影了。年度最佳。很难得一部很独特性又平衡的影片。内容上很坦率不为审查而避讳，形式上惊艳贴合内容不突兀。

但就从审美和美学的角度而言，叹为观止、惊为天人。
今时今日，拍近代中国时间跨度超过50年的华语片，看到就赚到。
真的吗？是什么？
另：来台湾三年才终于看了电影节，也是第一次经历电影放完亮灯全员鼓掌，感觉很有趣。
7.4 剧情上丝毫没有令人吃惊之处，拍法更是铺张浪费，根本就不《罗生门》，最接受不了的是第二段和第三段的强奸戏几乎没有什么区别，应该从男人角度看来是两情相悦，而从女人角度看来是强奸才对，这样如此结构才有意义，在其他地方都能做到因视角不同而导致的“真相”不同，偏偏这么重要的一段戏却不这么做，真搞不懂怎么想的。
制作牛的，很久没看到声音做的这么好的华语电影！！冥界那条线有点被绕晕了（crooky man居然是顾桃演的
笑死了，这种垃圾剧情也有人讨论，多去看看书吧，剧情太简单我看了一分钟就知道后面会发生什么了
然而这片明明是大本演法国国王查尔斯六世，马达演倒霉骑士，老司机演强奸犯，“爱在别人眼中找你”啥的。

周而复始话沧桑
由于影片还挺长，所以需要一定的耐心才能看完。首先形式上的新奇之处就不多做评价，觉得最神之处是驼背用照相机看来看去和结尾人人在喝孟婆汤忘却往生。- Filmfest München 25.06.2022

无论谁的一生拉长看都是悲剧，在这片土地上就更显荒诞了。文本上没太多意外的地方，倒是形式与风格令人惊喜，依赖视觉美学、剧场感和人物表演形成的间离体系。
庞大的叙事题材, 独特的演绎形式. 是个很难的大课题. 3个小时的片长, 看出已经有了很多取舍, 但还可以狠心地再删减. 不过,保持现在这个样子,保持导演最想要的成品, 我认为是最好的状态. 片子和人一样, 不需要完美, 要的是生动有趣独一份儿. 力荐给所有人观看, 不可错过的华语电影.
