The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 剧本真的很老套，塑造主角从籍籍无名到声名显赫以至于最后众叛亲离的幻灭过程，背景和目光聚焦于党派争斗，在上层人士的翻云覆雨里，政治与媒体，不过是狼狈为奸的手段罢了

改编得很棒，唯一的不足是旁白太多，打扰我对剧情的主动思考了…
这不就是完全可以拿电影里的话来评价这部电影嘛。不好意思我唱衰，我觉得没有吧这个无解性拍出来，那么幻想就是咎由自取，我对让我人物毫无同期，女性角色太扁平。

这样说有些无脑：但Tim Blake Nelson的名字出现，就知道不会有什么大问题；当作是演技个人秀看也不会感到吃亏。故事上的“土、村、直”可能拾起了那种西部片总是充满着意味、又强调着家庭精神的核心气息；几次追缉，也有滋味。尽管距离《赴汤蹈火》或者Taylor Sheridan在做的东西，尚有段可观的距离；但依然借由Tim，带出了属于自己的特质。
