The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 是寡淡的生活。男主在商超遛狗回避家庭，女主修行回避生活，生活过分压抑。但即使到这样也只是压抑的继续过下去。这个家和《怪胎》里最后男女主同居是同一个家哎。另外就是，本片有比格犬出演，出场短暂，但充分显示了其不驯服性。最后，在台湾，明明防疫政策没那么严格，但电影作品里也会有口罩，而我们，防疫政策如此紧张，除了抗疫主题的电影，其他电影中却少见口罩。
很好奇丈夫出轨的小三是怎么被害成这个样子的，头上还有做开颅手术的疤痕。
很搞笑啊，嗯，有点漫才的感觉，一个人的世界变得很热闹了，多好
这个房子是拍《怪胎》的那个么？还是台湾这种房子内外格局都是这样的哦……
两星半。漫画不是不能改电影，但是这个改编实在是有些过于浮夸了，影片主题也没有贯彻，最后还不好笑。
疾病科普片，普通但也不是毫无亮点，舞台剧台上被女生杀死的构想挺有古屋兔丸气质的。脑洞和恶趣味相辅相成，也比较顺当地利用少女人格分裂症带入到了老师的计划当中。人物都偏于病娇，结尾没有惊喜…
简单故事，搞笑过程，圆满结尾，治愈内核，完成度ok。
王彦霖一开口就把我逗乐了……怎么会有这种天生喜剧人，马桶兄弟那段没把我笑死哈哈哈
伏笔如此之多却没能形成有效收束，以为能像《恶之教典》般爆发，结果想太多，胃口吊太大没什么好结果，还得说日本人脑子里都什么猎奇的怪癖好。
2.5 还是钱翔搭陈湘琪但这一次却有点失望，中年无爱婚姻的煎熬才是真正的修行。即便有陈以文的加盟也不能把这个全在描摹状态的故事讲好，本来有点悬疑还是挺泄气的，只能靠陈湘琪的表演硬拉上来，在小细节处的表现有种至臻化境的感觉，一点不比贾静雯差，可能还是输在了成片质量上。
咱就是说过不下去真的不要硬过！放过彼此真的是最大的修行。太压抑和平淡也许就是对无爱婚姻最好的注脚

可能我喜欢田中圭吧，看完感觉就普通，不算很讨厌
题材挺好玩的，就不要强行煽情了吧，林狗是花妞啊。哈哈
挺紧张的，有很多意料之外，最后结局吓我一跳，结果又反转。但是其实死掉的话才经典吧，没死就只是一个单纯的变态的故事罢了。田中圭真的好变态。南沙良太适合演这种角色了。佳央太这里面的角色好开朗！不愧是变色龙演员呀！
md看这部电影也是天大的修行。东亚社会为什么这么爱人为选择压抑？？离婚各自放过不行吗？？？
有些幻想还挺新鲜的，剧情逻辑有bug。女主这个智商+不科学，是怎么当上医生的？
