The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 狐狸精长得简直可啪，小孩儿看真的没问题吗？不是谁拿到天书就会法术的，你必须十分努力才能看起来毫不费力，这其实是个励志故事。
当年看的时候一直有心理阴影，感觉婆婆好可怕。。。
这才是传说中的中国风吧；不是给小孩看的吗，干嘛弄那么惨的结局；配音很棒，完全不用字幕添累赘；这里面的玉帝是大吃货，皇帝是小皮孩，蛋生是个喜欢从中间开始吃烙饼的小朋友。
老狐狸：妖怪，偷抢拐骗计谋多，怪力乱神领贼窝。
又刷了一遍，还是好。结尾收的太急，里面的背景和人物设定可以借鉴，很有趣的故事，中国有完整的一脉神怪传统，现在断了。

虽说是神话色彩的动画，但处处是对现实的讽刺
在电影院看了一会我才想起来我最喜欢的是西岳奇童，这个现在再看的确剧情太过于简单直白了。

2021年去大银幕重温了，看到了成人世界的无奈和压抑。动画果然是成人浇自己胸中块垒之作啊。美术和音乐绝赞。
虽然大家都说这是普罗米修斯盗取天书的故事，但蛋生和袁公两人的戏份相比于狐狸精三人组少了些，出彩的地方几乎都在反派们的表演上，这就让讽刺性显得极强。
长大之后再看就会更加感叹人物设计太棒了 狐狸精蹦迪 爸爸成堆国产鬼畜 “奇 Spectacular趣 Entertaining美 Exquisite” “探民族风格之路 敲喜剧样式之门”“艺术没有创新就没有生命力”

导演本来就没想拍成恐惧斗室，所以也无需指责随处散发的愚蠢。
上海美术制片厂的动画就是有味道呀。。又是古代神话故事改编。。像大闹天宫像哪吒一样。。还有上译的老配音。。看了听了都很舒服。。
