The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 中方，中国导演赵婷自幼受社会主义教育。在赴美留学期间关注美国中部底层人民的流浪生活，并拍出一部电影展现了这个受一辈子美元奴役终在晚年决定追逐自己心灵的特殊群体，揭露了资本主义残酷的社会现实。
骨子里向往自由的人，并经历了所谓“稳定”的幻灭，彻底而决绝地再次投身自由。孤独只是个必要的装饰品，所有的感情也都自然无法长久，只有“在路上”是永恒的。所以，“路上见”。
对话写得太好了，几个配角的对白都令人落泪。个体叙事高于一切。

不觉得拍的有多好，能得奖只能说选题好，聚焦那些四处流浪的房车客，有年轻面孔也有老人，反正各有理由无法停留某个地方，表演感很突出清楚这是假的，但我知道这些人是存在的，能产生共情，我期待这题材能拍出更棒的影片
今天获得金球奖，恰好昨天才看。可能还是离个人生活境遇太远，代入感不强，体悟孤独，继续上路~
每一个在夹缝中生存的灵魂都应该相信无依之地的也有温暖
