The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. One of the first wave (pun intended) of COVID-inspired drama. It highlights something well-known but starts from a small life-like scenario. The critical commentaries (esp. at the end) aren't always subtle, but they do show different philosophies and approaches to carework. Favoritism is bad as well as negligence, though one leads to more suffering

上海，2022.03.15开始居家封控，明天就满月了。看到这部电影，内心五味杂陈，Sarah最后在车里的凝视，难道不是我们每个人的疑问吗？每个国家都有自己的问题，可能这就是国家的运转之道吧。回归电影本身：剧情减分，Jodie加分。
与歌功颂德类的医护片背道而驰，这是在书写普通人的善良与责任，同时在斥责社会运行机制的失效，影片多次运用失焦的手法表现女主的无助与迷茫，最后的出逃像是一种发泄，结尾对镜头开炮也是相当直接了。
但后半部的突变的文艺片画风把之前好不容易营造的现实主义氛围一下拉垮冲淡了，使的朱迪对着镜头的控俗也变成了个人恩怨的发泄，拉低了原本电影所要传达的立意和主题的沉重。

你看得到，但你得不到，你能感受到，但你仅仅只能感受到，洪尚秀的电影，愈来愈偏向他心里那个自卑的小人儿了。

就事论事，不谈比较。独立的看此片还是很不错，浅景深镜头加朱迪科默片中的表演真的很打动人，简简单单感应灯的运用也是非常巧妙。不足就是结尾太生硬太传教了。
这口音相当硬核了。以小见大，被抛弃的养护院，从初期疫情入手，更能看到整个国家卫生体系的狼狈不堪。小变态的演技真不错！发飙的时候直接出戏到杀手可还行。
所谓的英雄主义，就是当我看到，我不是世界上唯一的光明。

【7.5+】看似视角很小，其实什么都拍了。资源的短缺、leader的不作为、重症的惨状、孤立无援的绝望，一个长镜头就全部串起。各种先锋恐怖片技法轮番上阵，营造出一个与世隔绝、黑暗狭窄、使人窒息的看护病院，而病毒就像恶灵一样逐步在每个病房间蔓延。不需要你主动去共情，它就已经令你想逃离。后半段的逃跑情节，直接把私人情感与集体意志对立起来，让人惊觉在绝对的执行力面前，哪怕只救一个人也是痴心妄想，无数绝望的积累才让最后的警车内穿墙向观众喊话令人信服，天灾一直是人祸的替罪羊。目前看到过的最好的疫情电影。
