The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 凯奇拍了一部调侃自己烂片生涯的烂片，真对不起那些在片中被消费的他过往的高光时刻。俱往矣，还是尘归尘土归土吧。
编导汤姆·戈米肯是尼古拉斯凯奇的迷弟铁粉，片中好多经典台词和致敬场面。

前半段还蛮有趣的，从营救开始拉了，导演和编剧都没有心力把整部剧的戏中戏往更有深度的方向做探讨，如果处理得好，是有可能成为凯奇的翻身之作的。
尼古拉斯·凯奇（Nicolas Cage）络腮胡真难看，苍老了很多。很久没看他演的电影了。知名演员未必有钱，欠了一屁股债，看起来还光鲜亮丽。父女关系，前妻，一堆事，心累。一见如故的朋友，相见恨晚。
自己出演自己，和年轻的自己对话，自我审视和嘲讽，叔的艰辛回春路
剧情很套路，但还是恭喜Cage还完所有债务，希望真的能王者归来。
但不管怎么说这无疑是凯奇近十年来最好的电影了，希望还完债的凯奇能迎来事业第二春。
我的评价是：不如《帕丁顿熊2》
nick motherfucking cage宇宙的“复仇者联盟”吧。用戏中戏中戏中戏亦真亦幻地拍了一个小块都是Klischee但整体结构很新颖的优质商业片。红毒蛇演得太好了，那小表情能艳压cage了。
榨干凯奇的脑残片。
凯奇叔拍了这么多年烂片终于还完了欠债，然后就搞出来了这么一个一本正经地瞎胡闹的有趣片子。凯奇叔自己演自己，剧情也是自己套自己（虽然第三幕真的太弱了）——对自己经典电影的引用无比密集对自己拍烂片的自嘲就有多密集，结合起来就是一边看着拍腿狂笑一边又心酸这么多年的起起落落。今年四月能看到《妈的多重宇宙》和这部电影，真的是太让人满足了。
