The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 韩寒监制。意料之内的好看，但是出乎意料的精彩！虽然有一些小的逻辑 bug，但是瑕不掩瑜。电影又名《一部电影的诞生》，一群电影人重回轰动沪上的惨案现场开剧本会，准备探索细节和真相、讲故事搬上大荧幕以此扬名立万。金主爸爸甚至请来了命案的真凶作为剧组顾问，毕竟没有人比他更了解命案细节了 哈哈哈哈哈——真不是在搞笑，而是一个一早就给出了虚假谜底的谜面。一开始以为是一个剧本杀式的推理片，直到细节累加、伏笔出现、层层反转 我才发现这个密闭环境下创造的暴风雪山庄模式并不简单，个性鲜明的人物群像、抽丝剥茧的推理，俨然是一副阿加莎·克里斯蒂的推理小说模式。「全篇最阿加莎的部分不是推理和反转叠反转，是好人受到考验而好人最终平安得胜，以及自始至终的善良的心。」推理迷们过了一把推理瘾、电影人们造了一个电影梦，真好。
缺点和优点都很明显，想想有点无奈的是，观众对所有心照不宣保持缄默，才能最好的保护这样的电影。
作为一部成熟电影来讲确实还差了很多，但是勉强算讲好了一个故事，后半截逐渐精彩，反转合理，结局真实，群像没有特别拉胯
剧本杀对于我来说有点远，年龄大了没玩过；直接对照《利刃出鞘》也不为过，除了人家牌儿大没啥不能比的；个中台词真的反应了许多当今行业内的问题；最近难得喜欢的国产电影，支持一下。
虽然我不知道剧本杀，但整个故事的架构让我想到了9号房，话剧感十足的演绎方式可以带给观众足够的视觉冲击。巧妙的反转，干净的转场，清晰的人物背景，一气呵成！预定2021年度华语十佳
本来只是冲着小成本悬疑这点去看的，万万没想到剧情会是这个走向，除了小有惊喜的剧情设计，主创的社会责任感更让人意外和感动，之前看过某系列的悬疑大电影说的内容是霸凌，尽管一堆人猛夸立意好有深度，但剧情和演员都非常糟糕，电影质量显然无法匹配要反映的社会内容，这让人非常尴尬，可喜的是本片没有再出现这种尴尬
没那么好也没那么差（友邻评分从一星到五星都有，挺有意思的）。这几年内地片选择这种折中表达方式的越来越多，大家都看倦了，我也一样。在剧本杀里微妙的输出并不具备任何力量，设计感的失真让戏剧性和批判力没能共存，每当剧情将要滑向尖锐、不适和牵强时就抛出一个包袱将其消解掉翻过去，是聪明但也惹人恼。
最后：有梗有笑点，柯达还是很稳的，还有陆老板哈哈哈，算上拍摄时间和小红楼事件也能对的上，拍这个就挺正能量的，不过还是希望以后能多看到子墨出演的戏哈
挺好，就是没有电影质感。所有人的服化道、演技都有着微妙的游离感，刚开始半小时我还期待着在这个层面会有反转。
四星（个人非常喜欢万合的这帮人，所以多一星）剧情长评区基本都分析差不多了了，就不多说了。
故事会，拍的技巧上也很俗气，流露出的品味和价值观也是让人瞠目结舌
红楼案还有，只是螳臂当车的电影工作者没了。

4.0星。以1940年代的上海为背景的阿加莎·克里斯蒂流暴风雪山庄本格推理，一众演员演技强悍，侦探形象秉承180年推理小说史的一贯传统。最近是推理迷过年吗，下个月《误杀2》还有惊天诡计，宣传海报上肖央坚定的眼神我特么直接给五星。
①虽然有个像模像样的悬疑故事，但是编导依旧没有说一个小时故事以上的能力，以至于蛇足和枝叶杂碎添加过多；②「上帝视角」和几乎「万知万能」的「名侦探」模式说明编剧的接受认知度依旧停留在八十年前的「黄金时代」；③过多揶揄影视圈的小动作只会显示出编导的小肚鸡肠；④表演依旧是一塌糊涂，天朝真正有表演能力的演员依旧凤毛麟角。

我知道“剧本杀电影”这五个字肯定会为影迷圈所诟病——就像任何一部以某某亮点闻名的国产片，一旦热度上来了，它的亮点都会被影迷吐槽成黑点。《你好，李焕英》的结尾反转便是一例。
