The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 且不说远逊于《超能陆战队》，就是其中的机器人的设计和角色的可爱程度也逊于故事俗套的《未来机器城》，故事的视野很窄，再就是机器人的反应过于服务于剧本而显得失真，再就是那胳膊腿什么材料做的真是耐磨！电影看完其实挺没劲的，不知道为什么分会这么高！
正常三星水准（或者三星半），然而还算能带入主角，再加上结尾cast有特殊滚动背景制作，再加一星吧=-=
当然了，虽然小白长得可爱，但跟大白在风格上，包括建立友谊的主线都太像了，关键还没有《超能陆战队》做得好玩，所以挺失望的。
Ron的故事让我觉得，很多时候人们紧盯着自己的屏幕，其实不过是在直面自己的孤独。这是一部时代价值高于艺术价值的作品。最后的处理太仓促，立意整体有创新。它也莫名让我想起了两个天壤之别、毫不相干的作品，一个是著名少女漫《守护甜心》，一个是斯派克琼斯导演的电影《她》。随着人类理性科技和感性想象力的双向提升，加之社会量产流水线上人们对“陪伴”的特殊需求，一个可以给人类提供情感价值陪伴的系统就顺理成章成为了不少影视作品的重点孵化对象，而这部电影精彩的地方在于它是随着西方世界如火如荼进行的“take a social media break”号召诞生的，比之其他同类型作品，它更成为大数据时代的一个楔子——抛开人们对电子产品的过度依赖，信息安全、数据传播和人类一些媒体社交行为都值得思考。
好莱坞平均每过几年就会有一个动画公司出来做一部电影教你该怎么去交朋友，本片基本上就是一个换皮的《驯龙高手》➕《超能特攻队》，不过剧本还算规矩，除了前面铺了半天的哮喘钩子后面没用上之外。

真奇怪，索伦蒂诺的电影总是私人的甚至不可靠近的，热烈的却又落到喧嚣世外，意味模糊下莫名其妙的复杂饱满，美与青春后背上有肮脏的痕迹。每次的观影感受都那么怪味，那么难忘，不耐烦又喜欢。
想到我的八十年代，想到我的父母，想到我的亲戚们，想到小时候常去的电影院，想到能想起来的那些小时候遇见的怪人，想到那些再也没有见过的朋友和玩伴，想到我喜欢的歌和不离身的随身听，想到同学家很像法比托屋里的磁带架子，想到我不喜欢的马拉多纳的那不勒斯队，想到我喜欢的荷兰三剑客的AC米兰队，想到宿舍楼顶那个不眠的夜晚，想到那些以为忘掉的往事…
电影不是一定要引起大众共鸣的，也可以让人观察人生

前半温馨愉快的家庭氛围凸显了失去双亲后的痛苦。在家乡的爱的失去逼迫他奔赴罗马，所谓的追逐梦想只是源于一场逃避。上帝之手马拉多纳的意向不太明确，更像是交代时代，诸多少年生活的副线之一。故事饱满充实，镜头调度工整美伦，不错的观影体验。
比《智能大反攻》“写实”一点，不光是设定上的，还有这个智能设备与社交媒体摧毁童年的主题。虽然故事比较老套，但不难看，能照顾到全年龄段的理解。泡泡公司那俩不就是陈睿和徐逸？
心底却比从前更加地漠然与孤独。
好无聊的电影，但我真的很想去那不勒斯看看。
最触动的是ron笨拙的用各种贴纸，将网络社交变为实体社交...然后是在床底变亮的那一幕，暖心程度远远大过于从森林里把阿布沙龙背出来hhh

剧情老套，但白白圆圆的东西总不会错……那个科技公司也太苹果范了……boss很像乔布斯……说起来宠物陪伴人类还是越平等的关系才越有趣，所以我一直是坚定的猫猫党……最喜欢的细节应该是那些像素风格，现在看都有古典美感了（
索伦蒂诺的私人影像，这是属于他的《痛苦与荣耀》。关于成长和前行，关于与过去和解，关于找寻自我和接受自我，那不勒斯少年悲喜交加的成长回忆构成了故事的基础。对我来说，除了引用的费里尼的那句话，好像没有其他让我印象更为深刻的记忆点了。(摄影和构图都极为出色。
不是造成的所有混乱都能被原谅。也不是每一个weirdo都一定要汇入主流。
