The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 镜头语言、配乐、独白都挺美。中心思想嘛，还挺主旋律的，毕竟全世界都老龄化又缺人啊，回归母性本能才是幸福真谛？估计会让一些人跳脚。

女性的生命是一条河流，不断流淌，却始终停留在原地。然而男性导演镜头下的女性觉醒依然无法脱离男性思维的桎梏，陈升来拍大概也不会更差吧。。
整体色调比较灰暗，片中多次采用景深镜头，营造出压抑狭隘的氛围。或许是历史背景的缘故，看似简练的故事情节下有暗潮涌动的感觉。虽然故事性蛮好，但整体感受还是有点偏向沉闷了，罗伯特和妻子的床戏就不是很必要，这个人物一方面鼓励爱人去追寻自由，一方面冷处理与妻子的情感危机，人设有些不讨喜

被预告片吸引过来，却没看懂……我只是一个「普通」的恐怖片爱好者，想看一个讲女巫的恐怖片……但它并不是……它是泰伦斯·马力克喝醉后走错片场了……
二刷，四分钟内安排的线索情节营造氛围很到位，在阴暗灰蒙的背景下，两人就像风信子一样颤颤悠悠地摇曳。

故事主线有点太弱了，次要的周边，选角，格调，摄像，美术（不是说不重要）很优秀，但整体评，可能也就三星多，台词还是有很多金句的，就是浅点一下的这个浅有点太淡了，淹没在坑长的剧情之中

有一些细节没看明白，如果拍成电视剧估计会更有意思一点，加入更多的感情戏和侦破桥段
受不了这种晃晃悠悠，言之无物，内容空洞的片子，有一种东西叫稳定器，有一种审美叫构图，而不是某个部位怼着晃
