The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 7.5/10 本片的调度有着迷人气质，剧情聚焦过往创伤与自我救赎和解，节奏缓慢，Osacr Isaac有一股神奇的魔力能够时刻吸引我的注意力，让我陷入角色的所思所想之中，使得整体观感还算不错。
Schrader donne ici une masterclass de comment filmer le vide en plaçant au centre de son film une figure évidée incarnée majestueusement par un Oscar Isaac glacial au visage presque figé inexpressif. Comme un fantôme du passé traumatisant qui hante le présent, le héro ne cesse d'errer dans des lieux publics impersonnels ambiancés par une mise en scène sèche et sidérante. Conte cruel dans une Amérique sans échappatoire ni rédemption possible.

怀疑Oscar这个选角是Willem在Paul眼里的莞莞类卿
看到一半我就在担心，这种套路的影片往往会走极端，要么神作，要么装逼，看完我更倾向于后者。切入点还不错，故事也算完整，可惜都是浅尝辄止，无论是牌局还是复仇这两条主线都感觉没有说透，让人郁闷，威廉达福打酱油打的几乎可以忽略不计，而最后片尾出字幕时两人手指隔着玻璃接触居然不是定格镜头，因为我无聊到看完，足足五分钟，这导演是有多变态，给3星差不多了！
并没有那么差，但又的确很多时候并没有满足类型期待。
仍能看到些美国电影的旧日荣光，当然不觉得足以和Taxi Driver相提并论，详细不展开了。期待施拉德还会与斯科塞斯合体搞创作，不是老马挂个制片名头的这种。
是不是有点类似
这个题材这个故事，如果是昆汀或者McKay来拍，可以想象能拍到多high，但Shrader就是全程格外控制，节奏纹丝不乱，与男主克制内敛、甚至阴郁的性格相吻合。鱼眼镜头中扭曲的回忆，广角放大的特写细节，构建出带有超现实主义的惊悚风格。Oscar的表演波澜不惊，却惊雷于无声，张力十足还不乏魅力，不知道是今年会是遗珠还是赢来首个奥斯卡提名。
很有腔调的一部电影，就即便单独把算牌人的戏份拍出来，没有救赎的戏份都是很酷的，加上以后以及结尾，真的就很累赘了。影片节奏还是偏慢了一点。

有神秘感，好演员。让观众能够跟随电影的情节。ptsd很可怕，参与其中的每个人都是受害者。
