The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 一面微笑一面泪流满面在音乐剧里是稀有体验，更像是属于罗杰斯和汉末斯坦的时代。但私以为，CFA和音乐之声这种剧存在的意义，就是告诉你，人可以做出多可怖的事就可以做出多美好的事。世界可以像911的纽约，也可以像911的Gander。

这部舞台剧层次非常丰富，大到人道主义，小到个人友情、爱情；从种族问题讲到女性、LGBT群体的社会接纳；有生离死别，也有相遇重逢。正如剧中所唱，一些东西失去了，另一些被建立起来了。
感谢官摄，官摄和现场“炸耳朵”的音乐效果真的是不同的体验。疫情后再看这个二十多年前的故事，我们还能有open hearts吗
因为一种“我想做点什么”的朴素心情伸出的援手，在美国空域关闭的背景下发生。紧急状态下维持多元的自由国际主义童话，节奏很快，笑点很多，我看的时候却久久不能摆脱那种讽刺感，911啊911，在三十多分钟的时候，中止罢工的校车司机，带着非洲人到救世军营地，非洲人不肯下车，语言不通，校车司机看到对方捧着圣经，圣经的章节编号总是一样的，“看，腓利比书4：6”，Be anxious for nothing。“我们就是这样开始说起了同样的语言”。啊。还是随之泪目了。以及美国第一位女机长，在讲述自己成长的漫长故事之后，说我最爱的被用作炸弹，啊。我知道这只是stop the world 的小岛呼告，但我想世界本该如此。
真是以小见大的好作品！用纽芬兰小岛上的温情和爱来对抗人类历史上最具毁灭性的恶性事件，非常令人感动！对迫降事件后，社区各个层面的反应刻画得也非常还原。考拉唱得真好！
让灾难从一个抽象的事件变成一个可以触摸容易共情的事件

剧场版观影顺序：
在看到穆斯林男人被单独审问时 很难过 看到穆斯林男人的女儿不敢去学校时 更难过
悲与喜带来的历史与2022之间的一致性，使得苦难没有意义，虚无又穿透了我。
过度煽情，但眼泪不值钱，歌不错，特别是机长姐姐那首。
被故事打动，在这个世界日渐隔绝的时候，这样一个基于真实故事展现人性之美的音乐剧真太棒了。不论来自于哪个国家，文化，宗教，这一刻我们都是islander
真的好想看一次现场。
