The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 赏心悦目结局出人意料的悬疑惊悚片，不算恐怖片。俩妹子选得太好了，音乐复古怀旧好听。只是片子太长了，中间有些乱了，删20分钟会更好
不少人是冲着安雅·泰勒-乔伊来看的吧。
故事本身很平常，但是里面出现的很多动漫人物都能唤起人的回忆，比如说我就看到了希曼。另外蚁人的冷笑话”姨人”也真的很好笑。
“最大的风险就是不冒任何风险”终于有一部放松的片子，迪士尼多出动画片吧！什么时候把唐老鸭子 史迪奇也搞起来哈哈哈 终于我分清了黑鼻子的奇奇和红鼻子的蒂蒂～各种认识的不认识的看的笑死 特别在金币池里的🦆这可太熟悉了～两只花栗鼠🐿️还是很可爱的～其他人物其实也很可爱啦 就是彼得潘毁的不是一星半点 我对他的印象还留在那个帅气会飞的少年呢～合家欢大电影～都这样不出一波周边嘛！迪士尼的确是给大家带来快乐和梦的地方 可以让人永远做小孩 还是希望管他的人不要因为政治原因破坏我们对他的美好回忆……
《SOHO区惊魂夜》是一部放大女性意识的铅黄电影，又很埃德加·赖特地将歌单作为本体，恐怖感来自于文化工业的unsheathing，令当下/怀旧的虚假二分被打破。“二重身”是一个精神分析隐喻，令影片中的根源不是真正的城市之恶，也并不是波兰斯基式的纯粹妄想，“伦敦”“Soho”是最为关键的两个咒语，城市之创伤被加密为一种集体无意识，又随着古老的租住房开启，换言之，Eloise是（被变成）一个记忆/存储的媒介。“《SOHO》最大的问题也是精神分析其所不能，在哲学上生产出哥特式的谵妄，借助流行的种族或性别议题，不断将创伤绑定至年轻一代以实现自身的延续。但Nerdy直男埃德加·赖特又不可能真正反对这些光怪陆离的60年代亚文化，因此他安排了一个happy ending，令影片更为不伦不类。
视觉设计惊艳，对音乐的精准把控一如前作Baby Driver。然而故事完全欣赏不来，无脸男人的形象和其他惊悚元素堆砌过度，逐渐造成疲劳；政治正确地安排了一位白(黑)骑士，不然其他的男性形象就只有剥削者，非常二元对立；最后也是最重要的一点，我们不歧视的，但精神病真的得治。#grandwindsorcinema
对导演期待其实特别高，立意很高但是表现手法是不是有点太实在了？无论是乡村女孩儿逐梦伦敦时尚圈，还是男性凝视像僵尸一样穿越时代。僵尸和跳吓不断出现，看得我想打人了。导演不知道这两年恐怖片这样搞已经是很低级的了么。最后的反转又是什么鬼。虽然都可以解释通，但是就是觉得远远低于期待啊！
我不知道评分为什么这么高，我觉得剧情很无聊很不想看，估计我过了这个年纪了吧

Edgar这部跟极盗车神性质差不多，歌好听和物理上的好看。拍的很好，下次不要拍了。
＃Venezia78展映＃1.简单来说就是一个有阴阳眼的乡村女孩带着焦虑恰巧搬到伦敦一个发生凶案的房子，因为没有良师帮助，迷陷现实与幽灵世界。2.色彩迷离与恐怖的表现主义极具张力地被放大。

当迪士尼只想赚钱开始摆烂，那么他们就会用上大大小小的IP凑在一块拍一部烂片。而编剧又恰好讨厌这个项目和出现过的所有IP。
1960年代的霓虹恶魔。开头以为是又一个库伊拉的时尚产业剧情片，埃德加赖特的血腥暴力随着剧情愈发密集到来，却完全没了以前的癫狂和黑色闹剧。最终可能只是告诫追梦女孩们，怀旧深处藏着的黑暗底色，Downtown非但不能让人解脱，还意味着太多坏东西。
两个角色的穿插放映，60年代表面的纸醉金迷到背后的潜规则，两个年代的女人追梦但不同的人生结局，唏嘘不已，
超现实的女性反抗题材，故事和镜头有点意思。但拍恐怖片，第一要务是吓人，不是讲道理。鬼没咋吓到我，光被这个女主角吓了。
伦敦聊斋。安雅不怎么适合这个造型吧，不否认她的性感，但她的性感不是导演试图塑造的这种，像个小女孩偷穿妈妈的真丝睡衣高跟鞋去勾引继父。结尾的秀真土，别让我再看见那件粉色衣服了。
我想看这部电影 2020-02-01 《soho区惊魂夜》太棒了！！！前半跟预告大差不差略有亮点中规中矩，中段女主探寻真相部分发展突然强行降智，本来想着说这片没救了，不过结局反转升华，剧情和立意双双拔高，我的年度最佳惊悚片！！！
从花街春梦到伦敦不相信眼泪，最后又来了点希区柯克的惊悚感。元素杂糅之作，灯红酒绿过犹不及，完成度一般。
真的很有意思啊！好期待迪士尼以后的优秀作品！！！！！
