The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 高级的复古，舞台感十足，却不那么吸引人..
不喜欢 明明摄影布景都很摩登 但陈旧感却扑面而来 就好像在一个很封闭的空间里上演的话剧 忍不住睡着了
“以不义开始的事情，必须用罪恶使它巩固。”（Things bad begun make strong themselves by ill.）听说是黑白影像+单一场景+古英语，以为会像被陀托屠的经典巨著砸了脑袋那样昏昏欲睡，结果观感还不错。丹泽尔老了也一样帅，邓肯国王是《梅塞德斯先生》，早前也演过科恩电影（《巴斯特·斯克鲁格斯的歌谣》）。刺杀一场戏几乎可以用性感来形容，麦克多蒙德的麦克白夫人驾轻就熟，都有一种诗意的邪恶。
麦克白的故事改编的太中规中矩了，但是电影美学但是做到了极致，古典美的氛围拉满了，好像看一部伯格曼时期的看电影。
麦克白其实就是一则寓言故事 跟我们解释了什么是self fulfilling prophecy 算是忠实原著了
“用小事赢得我们信任，是为了在重要的事上背叛我们”
也不是第一次看麦克白的故事了，这版比较打动人的是前段对于莎翁原著的纪实化呈现，在文本上显得更为厚重。有点可惜的是，后半段节奏掉的很快，使得人物终究不立体，故事情节不够圆润，震撼力也就不太够。麦克白的悲剧是必然的，历史上的很多失败一直在不断重演，成王败寇亘古不变，守天下永远比打天下难。
I have no words it’s so well made in every single aspect. I loved the witches, the birds, the leaves, the girl in the water, the monologue. Frances McDormand and Denzel Washington are THE actors of their generation. Will need a rewatch with subtitles in the future.

不喜欢这样的科恩，以前的作者性荡然无存，摄影上的极度写意也无法掩盖导演创作能力枯竭的事实。反而是两位演员最出彩，只可惜他们奥斯卡级别的表演被这样一个平庸的剧本给生生的浪费了。 注：赶快让两个科恩合体吧，这部实在是没劲。

极简场景和摄人光影是本片独特气质的最大贡献者，其余部分没什么亮点。空镜最震撼
影片戏剧感很强，不管是用光还是摄影。大咖云集，演员的功力深厚。
不懂就问，莎翁时代英国有黑人吗？黑白演员混合的白人故事就特别别扭。
