The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 前边黑白段落非常好，钉子这个段落不认可，能感觉到导演想要表达一种漂泊后对于家乡的感情，就是太简单了，总体还是不错的一部个人感情表达的影片，镜头语言真好，就是太个人化，对于导演来说也许是成功的，对于观众就有些欠缺。

虽然前后有点割裂，但还是好看的，真实画面插入，停在海面从黑白切到彩色。前面黑白的尤其有意思，意大利人那种幽默感，“棺材里一定是侏儒”。钉子的短篇很有文学性。看完来看导演简介更被打动，以死亡拍死亡
开头慢了点，后面太怪诞趣味了，太有才了这个导演！有点被涂污的鸟那种感觉！堂吉诃德版本的黄粱一梦！

继大卫洛维上部失利之后再度回归，把背景搬到了中世纪，服化道过硬，搭配A24标志性的装神弄鬼。将家喻户晓的传说故事，拍出视听享受:自然风光、室内外打光、配乐绝了。其中，跨越时间的玩法与奇观制造很是新鲜，大概就是误食云南毒蘑菇的体验吧。★★★☆/7.7
