The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 非音乐剧粉真的很难感受其中的热爱，现实与虚构的反复横跳令人迷惑，在华丽画面和欢脱的舞蹈之下却没有对人物的深思。
但事实更多是终其一生努力活成一个普通人。

这才是能淋漓呈现当下流媒优势的音像制品，尽管电影语法/结构性较弱，LMM还是为其注入了难得轻逸的律动感。两种艺术体裁的融合不止体现于即兴唱段，还有情绪和画面的巧妙对接（泳道幻化成的五线谱，经典的天台抒情段落，偌大体育场内孤独的钢琴）。喜欢用脱口秀做scene-switching point的创意，观众直到结尾才露面，是对叙事上自传式口吻的印证。很多细节固然还可以深挖，但维持在目前的水平业已令人动容。生命倒计时前的任性执着，恰到好处的鸡血和感伤。

每一个演员都唱功了得。独白部分都很赞。最喜欢的三首歌是Boho、Sunday和come to your senses。估计没人能对它们说不吧。
传记加歌舞电影更是容易产生浓厚的割裂感，大概更适合舞台，适合突破第四面墙来面对面的共鸣
