有些镜头蛮有意思的，大段的广角和监狱里的百态，很妙。

和赌博的联系恰到好处 没有堆满也没有架空 但是整体还是有点点催眠了
类型结合的并不成功，反而浪费了太多的精力在不精彩的牌桌上。多数情节靠人物对话来推进，不是一个好的电影范本。能进威尼斯也许是因为他题材的特殊性吧…看不进去
施来德拍的还是很稳，Bill这个有着不光彩过去但是急切想洗心革面的人物塑造的很成功，人物性格习惯设置合理，细节全部到位。虽然是赌场为背景，但是完全跟赌博没关系，赌博完全服务于人物塑造。片子整体有一种七八十年代电影的老派沉稳，但是永不过时的feel。PS，Oscar的屁股也太翘太好看了吧。

一个人如果去过监狱，他会不会一直想要重新回去？这个电影里，到底谁在控制谁？是Tell在破事Cirk跟着他旅行，还是Cirk在一直令Tell想起过去并执行了最终的计划？一个被美军系统“囚禁”的人，讽刺地与高喊“USA”的人出现在同一张牌桌很多次。中间有些片段其实很想让人睡着，大段的内心独白有时候让人不明就里
他的这个造型真的有时候看着太奇怪了，感情线也很潦草，吻戏也要嘴角往下撇，像鲶鱼，哈哈哈。男二演的也不好。
+。想不到是在讲阿布格莱布和自我救赎。最爱的点在于，秩序与失序两个极端之间，还有一个流动的世界。
两段扭曲的鱼眼镜头加分，可惜的是后来电影跟德州扑克没啥关系了，我就是来看德扑的啊
另一种《出租车司机》，老派故事套上了新的外壳。本人对赌博这种手段，算是救赎？完全无感……
