The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 人类建立巴别塔，神对人类的冒犯降下惩罚，世界的纷争因此开始，我很难说明影片到底是想表达神明的腐朽邪恶给人类带来无尽折磨与恐惧，还是想表达人类的自作自受让自己陷入无尽战火与奴役之中。
完全放弃剧情编排，只有符号化的叙事碎片疯狂堆积，比场景本身更肮脏残忍的深层意向，从艺术的角度来说足以载入影史。
真看不懂导演想表达什么？也不愿意浪费脑细胞去猜测！电影中的元素太多了，感觉就是导演的思维垃圾桶，把平时的灵光一现都扔进来了，然后电影的形式发表出来。全程快进看完！

确实有点晦涩，不过梵高当年不是也被人当作疯子吗。说不定本片会在电影史里有一席之地呢，哪怕《致命弯道》也有自己的一席之地啊。
